Since the announcement of the the next gen consoles by the console giants Sony and Microsoft, it has been a major study of concern of the better amongst the two.
Microsoft is continuing its console tradition with the Xbox One whereas Sony is trying to set things apart with its PlayStation 4.
Here we compare the two consoles regarding all the hardware and firm specifications.
Release date:
The PS4 is out on sales on november 15th,2013 in north america and is set to launch on november 29th,2013 in Europe,Australia and Brazil.
November 22nd,2013 is what Micrsoft has choosen for its Xbox One release in North America,Australia,Brazil and Europe(some countries)
Price:
Obviously PS4 is better in terms of price.PS4 is retailing for US $399 whilst Xbox One is costing US $499, a $100 more. Both the consoles come with a single controller.
Instead, what we found interesting is that Xbox One price includes the cost of Kinect 2.0 whereas PS4 Eye does not comes with the PS4 regular launch edition.
Hardware and graphics:
Both the consoles have somewhat similar hardware. But ofcourse PS4 is just a mere above the line with the Xbox One hardware.PS4 includes an AMD 8 Gb DDR5 RAM instead of the Xbox One, which has the AMD 8 Gb DDR3 segment RAM.
We were amazed to know that PS4 has got 50% extra GPU power than the Xbox, though it may not affect much, indeed very less, because the game manufactures would design games to run smoothly optimized for both the consoles .The difference could rise in PS4 exclusive games which are not released for other platforms such as "THE LAST OF US" earlier exclusively for PS3. Below is a comparison video representing the graphics differences between the two :
Controllers:
Both the PS4 and Xbox One controllers look like efficient gamepads, but what looks outside is'nt the story.
The PS4's special Dual Shock 4 controller is somewhat different in design than to its predessesor. We found the analog joysticks smoother than the PS3's and the long handle grip makes it to fit better in your palms.

The most interesting thing is the touchpad on the top of the controller. You can play built in games with that, swipe over the screen to take the bots out of the controller onto your screen.
The horizontal light on its front ,does it do something? Ofcourse, it does the work of taking back the bots into your controller from wherever you direct it whilst seeing them on the screen.
Xbox One - If we see the Xbox One controller, you might not notice much change, perhaps there are some.

Based on our experience, we loved the smoothness of xbox one's controller, especially the back trigger keys that are way smoother than those of the ps4's.
The controller also features a vibration capability which is absent in the PS4s controller giving you sudden heartshakes while you are playing.
Automatic login:
The Xbox One seems efficient in terms of login. When you create your xbox live account or if you have your previous, the console logs you in automatically as you walk into your room.
The kinect 2.0 makes it possible with its inbuilt camera and even detect your pulses, whereas the PS4's Eye also features this capability but it does not bundles with the regular launch edition.

Online subscriptions:
This year however, both companies will be charging users for online services that you might have expected to be part of the ticket price. PlayStation Plus is £5.49 for one month, £11.99 for three, or £39.99 for 12; Xbox Live Gold is £5.99 for one month, £14.99 for three and £39.99 for 12. So, if you’re going for the best value packages, both subscriptions will cost £3.33 a month.
Social activity:
Both the consoles have somewhat similar social connectivity features delivering social chatting both as text as well as video conferencing.
The 8 players at a time support keeps both the consoles at equal levels letting you play with 8 of your friends/players at a time simultaneously.
