Need For Speed Rivals : Gamelogics Review.

Its been a month since the release of Need for Speed Rivals, and now we are reviewing the game after going through it entire the whole month.

Storyline:

The game does not have any story of its kind opposite to what we saw in the NFS Run and the first version of NFS Most Wanted.The game is entirely based on racer and cop theme.Racers take on the rivalry with their competitors and cops try to chase and bust them.Talking about the character, the game does not describes any character name and personality.Even though the story is missing, it seems similar to that of NFS World and NFS Hot Pursuit that Electronic Arts released couple of years ago.

Gameplay:

While going through the game, we found the gameplay very interesting and full of action.As EA committed that NFS has the best handling ever, we entirely agree with them when we got our hands on it. The game's handling is very much improved as compared to NFS Most Wanted (2012). NFS rivals eliminates that lag effect and handling that players experienced in the previous version of the game.

Improvements have also been made in the speed experience and the speed described in the speedometer.NFS Most Wanted (2012) gameplay did not feel like as the speed in the speedometer. Instead, the speedometer speed seemed to be doubled as compared to the playing experience

This is one of the biggest improvements EA has made in the NFS Rivals. The collisions have also developed a lot resulting in a disbalance of the car similar to one would experience in real life. "But we suggest you to drive safely".

The game features two character identities: 'Racer' and 'Pursuit'. One can choose Racer to race through the county taking on the rivalry with other racers whereas, the Pursuit character lets you chase and bust other racers.The gameplay of both the identities does not intervene with each other and have different progress levels according to the players gameplay.

Graphics:

The graphics of the game are just "Magnificent". Powered by Frostbite 3 engine, NFS Rivals showcases a mixture of different environments filled with perfect colors and reflections.The water draining down the car's surface looks fantastic, giving a chilly rainy experience in overcast conditions.The roads reflect perfect shadows of the car and even change themselves according to the position of the sun.

The game showcases "seacrest county" blended in an heterogenous mixture of different weather zones. Ranging from hot deserts to the chilly snowy mountain caps, the weather condition change diffrently in various part of the county.This enhances the graphics even more.

Car Customization:

NFS Rivals has taken a big leap by including car customization. One can customize cars over a various available option of colors, graphics, vinyls and much more.Numerous option are available for car's color finishing, tattoes and top of these, the car's liscence plate can also be customized with numerous plate designs.

If you want to have your own name on the liscence plate, you can have it by selecting the last plate in the available options and mentioning your name over it.

Performance Upgrades:

As of NFS run, the game features various performance upgrades including acceleration, strength, durability, top speed and much more. Each category of the upgrades involved a total of five upgrades.

One can totally customize the car over a wide range of performace upgrades. We suggest to fully upgrade your previous car before going for the unlocked new ones. This could save some of your money and will result in having a better upgraded car as compared to a stock unupgraded new car.

Pursuit Tech:

This option is one of the best gameplay options included to damage other racers and cops.The pursuit tech involves devices that a player can upgrade the car with .Their are different options available ranging from Emp's, jammers, shockwaves and much more. We found the emp the best option, but it's little bit difficult to use it. With the emp one can lock an emp device at the back of the racer or the car ahead resulting in speed and control loss.

Diffrent pursuit tech options are available, but only two of the kind can be installed in a single car. That is, you can have only a maximum of two types of pursuit techs installed.Perhaps, they can be changed according to your will and need.

Soundtrack:

As with previous Need for Speed titles, the game's soundtrack contains a variety of licensed music. It mainly comprises electronic music, electropop and hip hop. Rivals also contains a pursuit music composed by Vanesa Lorena Tate.

Overall verdict - The game is full of excitement and pure racing thrills and delivers a magnificent gaming experience.
