We have all heard about game freezes, lags and slutters.Infact, gamers know these terminologies very well. Although, we did'nt heard of something that would remove these lag effect to a great level when Nvidia came up with its G-Sync technology. Some call it a revolution in PC gaming whereas some believe it to be an useless investement that one could do in a personal computing rig.

AMD, the biggest competition for Nvidia, brought the same technology to the world but with a different pattern.

Consumer electronics show 2014 (CES) ,Las Vegas. AMD unveiled its "Free Sync" gaming technology before the world which is similar to the nvidia's free sync, instead with a different way of working.

To demonstrate the technology, AMD purchased two Toshiba Satellite Click notebooks, which have the appropriate hardware support. Engineers at AMD were stunned, when nvidia announced its G Sync technology, this reaction though was not for a stiff competition, instead they were unable to believe that G-sync would require a hardware that is the GPU to sync with the monitor's G Sync chip.

AMD , on the other hand, says, there would'nt be any GPU requirement for the technology to work. According to AMD, the "V Blank" technology was all that was required, considering the absence of the V Blank that could fill up both the PC as well as mobile gaming segment

V-Blank would be equivalent to a variable refresh rate, thus achieving and performing same function and results as the nvidia's G Sync technology.

It seems that there are no such current plans from AMD to release it soon, with AMD still under research and development to fully deploy the technology into the display panels with a variable V-Blank. But one thing is for sure, nvidia's path is'nt going to be clean enough with AMD out there in the competition.

Until then, for more updates, stay connected with us.
