The quest between the PS4 and Xbox One seems to clinge towards the PS4, as it beats the total sale units of xbox one by a huge 166,000 console units in UK.
These stats are only for UK, perhaps PS4 has outselled the xbox one in many other regions including the americas's and australasia. The new consoles have earned a total of £326m at UK retail, with PS4 hardware generating £181.8m, and Xbox One earning £144.5m.
According to Chart-Track data obtained by the Entertainment Retailers Association (via MCV), the PS4 sold 530,000 units throughout the region, while the Xbox One shifted 364,000 units.
"Games continues to deliver digital sales strongly, but it was disappointing that Xbox One and PS4 came so late in 2013 and then huge demand meant stock sold out quickly," ERA Director, Kim Bayley said.
Despite the PS4's upper hand in UK, the Xbox one is performing considerably well in the north america. Instead, both the consoles are expected to mark great sales digits in upcoming year or two.
