Here
are 5 gadgets that were revealed in CES 2014, with a simple but a effective and
innovative concept.
#1 -
Polaroid Socialmatic Camera
The good old Polaroid brand isn’t dead yet — with
the Polaroid Socialmatic, the concept has now become a
product. It has a camera with a 14-megapixel camera, a 4.5” touchscreen LCD
display that runs Android, a Zero Ink printer, and wi-fi and Bluetooth
capabilities. At $299, it will be a tough sell for those who already have a smartphone
in their pockets.
After taking a picture with the back camera or the
2-megapixel front camera, you can share it on Facebook, Twitter or Pinterest
using the built-in software on a Wi-Fi network. At the same time, you can print
a 2×3 little photo.
On this camera, you will also find 4GB of internal storage
and a Micro SD slot. If you want to share photos on the go, you will have two
options: you can either send your photos to your phone, or tether your phone.
#2 – Panono panoramic Camera
A
really cool device for taking pictures. Panono revealed their sphere of lenses
just for capturing panoramic image. The concept is real simple, it is a ball
covered with lenses which you throw in air, and it clicks a 72-megapixel , 360
deg image. The capture image adheres great quality , though the cost feels a
bit high $600.
#3 – LaCie Sphere hard drive
The Sphere
resembles a crystal ball and was designed by Christofle. Inside is 1 TB of
storage space with USB 3.0 to help those data transfers along. Lacie lists the
interface transfer rate at up to 5 Gb/s with USB 3.0 or up to 480 Mb/s via USB
2.0. The whole thing weighs in at 500g, or just over one pound, so it feels
solid, but it's not crazy heavy either.
$490 is the
charge for this 1TB HDD, expensive but not for those who prefer to keep their
hardware wardrobe styled.
Pebble
smartwatch is watch with LED
backlit, 144x168 e-paper display, same four button interface, same 5-7 day
battery life,
Pebble also
introduced new software and an overhauled mobile app that significantly expands
the smartwatch's functionality. Instead of acting as a mere window for
notifications, the Pebble is now capable of running apps of its own. Built into
the new Pebble app for iOS or Android, the app store allows users to install
and sync apps to their Pebble
You can even find
your location and check in on Four Square without ever touching your phone.
Another app, Pebble Cam, can be used to control your iPhone's camera, complete
with a live viewfinder on the Pebble's screen.
#5 – Razer’s Project Christine
The
concept of project cristine is to encapsulate pc components into
a small, metal-encased pod that can be easily removed and inserted back
into the tower. Each and every component wether it be Ram, power supply,
processor, SSD, HDD, GPU and other cabinet components can be easily housed into
the custom tower. The user can customize the positions of different components
unless the wiring does'nt gets complex, you can do it though, if you don't like
keeping things in an order.
Each module will feature liquid cooling and noise cancellation and reduction components, if you want to overclock you components, razer has got the solution. This is not just it, the pod also has a touch LCD panel for different custom controls according to the the user requirements.
