Philip scholz killed by train while rescuing a person off the tracks.


Nvidia marketing manager Philip Scholz was killed in a train accident while trying to rescue a person off the tracks on january 20th . 

According to the reports, scholz and the other person were talking to each other at the moment when the train arrived the santa clara station,california  at 50 to 70 mph when it hit both men. Scholz did not make it to life but the other person that scholz rescued is hospitalized in a critical condition.

The victim is unable to speak to the investigators. Scholz's wife told Mercury News that the person did want to get out of the way.

The mishap was captured by the surveillance camera at the station and the footage shows that scholz tried to rescue the person but the incoming train stuck both men suddenly.

Nvidia co-founder Chris Malachowsky said that Scholz's actions "completely resonates with something consistent with the guy. I'm sure his knee-jerk, no hesitation to help someone else is what caused this—he goes down as a hero in my book."
